Sewing Tips:
Sharpening Scissors
Did you know that you can sharpen your scissors
with the rounded end [non pointed] of a machine
needle? Simply take the needle and run the scissors
over the needle as if you were trying to cut it.
This really works! Try it and let me know what you
think.
Seam Rippers, Scissors and Tweezers
Having more than one seam ripper is a good thing! I
try to have at least one seam ripper at each
machine along with a good pair of clipping
scissors, tweezers (good for pulling up the ends of
threads to snip) and extra bobbins. This saves me
lots of time when I am working on multiple
projects.

Bobbin Covers
The tiny soft pony tail holders (like you use for
little girls hair) make a great bobbin cover. You
can use the larger ones to keep your spools of
thread from unwinding. These are available at most
dollar stores.
