I have been a busy bee these days sewing some of the new patterns I purchased at Martha Pullen.  This adorable bag is from Ellen Medlock.....it is her Cheri Bag in the petite size.  It was a super easy pattern and went together like a breeze.  I added the lady bug embroidery from Sew Swell.

Martha Pullen Show 2011

I know I promised I would post from Martha Pullen but technical difficulties made it impossible ~ sorry.  I can tell you that I had the time of my life.  If you have never gone to a Martha Pullen Show, and there is one in your area, I highly recommend it.  For those of you that don't know what a MP show is........she gathers a massive group of teachers ie; Luveta Nickels (Junk Jeans lady), Linda McGhee (zippers and handbags), Peggy Sagers, Hope Yoder, Evy Hawkins (A Bit A Stitch),  Barb Callahan, and (of course my favorite) LORALIE together to...

I know I said I would post this tutorial on Tuesday, but I can't wait any longer.  I am getting excited about teaching this at Martha Pullen in Arlington, TX in a few days and I wanted to share it with you so here it is. Yet another screen tote :>))

I can't help myself....I am addicted to making these screen tote bags!  I found this adorable Loralie floral fabric at a quilt shop in Celeste, TX ~ The Quilt Mercantile,  a few months back and didn't know what I was going to make with it (you don't have to know what you are going to do with it to buy it, right?) but figured it would be a tote of some sort.  Just wish I had bought more fabric now - isn't that always the case?
