I have been teaching sewing and embroidery classes in the Dallas, Texas area for many years now. As you browse through my catalog of patterns, you will notice that I gravitate towards tote bags and purses. I have been called the Tote Bag Queen once or twice:>) While I love sewing these kinds of pretties, I do write patterns for other things too. My creative juices flow best when I work on quick and easy projects. I like to call them instant gratification projects. Most of my patterns can be created in a few hours and that allows you more time to add your own creative flair to the project.
I love to add embroidery to projects, my motto is "A little embroidery doesn't hurt anything" but I also understand that not everyone has an embroidery machine. I try to include different variations to my pattern samples to show you that you can achieve your own cuteness without using machine embroidery.
You might notice that my tutorials have changed. Don't worry, I haven't taken them off my site but I have tried to make them easier for you to access. My tutorials are now listed as a PDF download so you are able to print them out and obtain the appropriate embroidery files just by adding the tutorial to your cart and checking out. (They are still FREE, the price is set to $0.00) An email will be sent to you with the download link. Once saved to your computer, you can print it out or refer to it as often as you like.
It is my goal with each pattern I write, to include detailed instructions that will be clear and easy to follow. However, I understand that most of us are "visual learners" and sometimes even clear instructions are not as good as seeing images. That's why I have loaded my patterns with detailed pictures to go along with the instructions so it will seem as though I am right there with you while working on the project.
Please know that if you should ever have any questions about my patterns, you can contact me at SewMichelle@outlook.com.
What the heck is a Sewnopsis?
I include a Sewnopsis with most every pattern. Now you may wonder what in the world is a Sewnopsis? Well, it is a single page summary of the pattern with cutting instructions as well as a supply list. It also has small pictures of the most important steps. This is super helpful when going to the quilt shop for your supplies or to keep at your sewing machine without having to go to your computer to pull up the whole project when looking for the next step. This is sure to become one of your favorite features in my patterns.
I dream of one day owning my own quilt shop where I will teach and sell my own patterns. Well finally, part of this dream is becoming a reality. While I don't own a quilt shop of my own just yet, I am bringing my patterns into the shops starting in 2013. Keep a lookout at your local shop for my patterns. If your favorite quilt shop isn't carrying the SewMichelle Patterns
, please ask for them and let them know you are wanting to purchase them.
This pattern may not be mass produced. However, it may be used to sell handmade projects, by you, at artisan venues or online as long as you give SewMichelle credit for the pattern. This pattern is the sole property of SewMichelle and may not be reproduced or duplicated in any form ~ even for teaching purposes. This labor of love has been reasonably priced so please do not share or reproduce any part of it.
